Swizzels Love Hearts Bag - 127g

Love Hearts belong to the corner-shop end of British sweets, the stuff you bought with loose change and shared on the walk home. They sit on the same shelf in the memory as Parma Violets and Refreshers, and for good reason: Swizzels makes all three.

People in Canada go looking for them because nothing else does the job. A sweet that comes with something to say is half the fun, and the message is the bit everyone remembers, usually alongside who handed it to them and whether they meant it.

This is a 127g bag, which is enough to go round a table and still leave a few for the cupboard. Kept sealed somewhere cool and dry, they hold up well. People tip them into party bags, scatter them on wedding tables, or slip one into a lunchbox with a message picked out on purpose.

If you are building a proper British sweet bag, Love Hearts go nicely with other Swizzels favourites like Drumstick lollies, Squashies and Refreshers. Mix them in a bowl and watch who digs for which.
