Guinness Chocolate Truffles Carton - 135g

Guinness is one of the best-known names behind a British or Irish bar, and over the years that harp has turned up on everything from pint glasses to tea towels. The chocolate truffle carton is the one that ends up on the coffee table, lid off, being passed about.

In Canada it tends to be a memory before it is a search. Someone brought a box back from a trip, or a relative arrived with one tucked in the suitcase, and it became the thing that meant somebody had been home. Then the box ran out.

It is a 135g carton, neat enough to wrap, post or hand over without fuss. Keep it somewhere cool and out of the sun and it will sit happily in the cupboard until you need it. People open it after dinner, with a coffee, or, unsurprisingly, alongside an actual pint.

It goes rather well with the rest of a proper British shelf: a bar of chocolate you have not seen in years, a packet of biscuits for dunking, a box of tea to make the whole thing respectable.
