Vimto No Sugar Added Real Fruit Squash - 725ml

Squash is a very British arrangement: a bottle of concentrate, a jug of tap water and a family argument about how much goes in. Vimto has been one of the big names in that cupboard for longer than any of us have been pouring it, and it is still the purple one people name first.

In Canada it is the thing you go looking for after a hot afternoon, or after a kid asks what you drank growing up and you realise you cannot describe it. Easier to hand them a glass and watch their face.

This is a dilute-to-taste squash, so the 725ml bottle goes a lot further than it looks. Keep it in the cupboard, then store it as the label says once it is open. Mix it with still water, fizzy water, or hot water on a cold evening, which is a proper northern habit and a very good one.

Back home Vimto turns up in fizzy cans too, but the squash is the one that started most of us off. People tend to pick it up alongside other drinks cupboard favourites from home, because one bottle of squash never stays lonely for long.
