Mars MilkyWay Magic Stars - 33g

In Britain, MilkyWay is the light one: the bar with the fluffy centre that got handed out because it felt like less of a commitment. Magic Stars are the bite-sized end of that family, bought for the youngest in the house and quietly pinched by everyone else.

Search for Milky Way in Canada and you land on a different bar altogether, so people who grew up with the stars end up hunting for them by name. They want the stars. Nothing else with the same word on the wrapper will do.

This is the 33g bag, which is one person and one sitting if we are honest with each other. Keep it in a cool, dry cupboard away from the sunny windowsill and it will wait patiently. It fits in a lunchbox, a coat pocket or a parcel heading to someone who misses home.

Whoever picks up a bag of Magic Stars usually leaves with a MilkyWay bar as well, plus a couple of other Mars favourites from the same shelf, for the sake of balance.
