Cadbury Dairy Milk Fruit and Nut - 95g

In Britain, Fruit and Nut sits on the newsagent's shelf right beside the plain Dairy Milk, as it has for about as long as anyone can remember. It is the bar for people who think chocolate should give you something to chew on.

Move to Canada and it is one of those small things that catches you out. You remember the purple wrapper, the thick squares, the exact way it breaks, and the craving does not go away just because you have changed postcode.

It is a proper 95g bar, broken into squares that are meant to be shared and rarely are. Keep it somewhere cool and dry, away from the radiator, and it will sit happily in the cupboard until somebody finds it. It goes with a cup of tea, in a lunchbox, or straight from the wrapper while standing at the fridge.

Cadbury's wider Dairy Milk family runs from the plain bar to Whole Nut and Caramel, and most people who reach for this one end up with a second bar in the basket. For balance, they say.
