Cadbury Heroes Advent Calendar - 230g

Heroes are the Cadbury mix of miniatures, the tub that turns up at every British Christmas and is somehow empty by Boxing Day. An advent calendar is just as much a fixture in UK homes, so putting the two together was always going to work.

In Canada, people go looking for this one for two reasons. Parents want their children to have the same December mornings they had, and grown-ups who left Britain years ago want the familiar purple calendar back on the shelf. Both are good reasons. Neither needs an excuse.

It is a 230g calendar, flat enough to sit on a mantelpiece, lean against the kitchen wall or hide on top of the fridge if you know your household. Keep it somewhere cool and dry, well away from the radiator, so the chocolates behind the later doors are as good as the first.

It sits nicely alongside the rest of a British Christmas food cupboard: a Cadbury selection box for the stocking, a few bars of Dairy Milk as stocking fillers, and a proper tub of Heroes for the day itself, when the calendar has run out.
